Problem Deploying Dashboard to MOSS - Page isn't created RRS feed

  • Question

  •

I've got PerformancePoint Monitoring installed on one server and MOSS installed on a second server.  I've installed the Monitoring Web Parts on the MOSS server successfully.  I've created a Dashboard using Dashboard Designer and done a Publish All.  When I deploy the dashboard to SharePoint, selecting the "Dashboards" document library I have created on the target SharePoint site, the following happens:

    1. A new directory is created in the Dashboards document library (this is good)

    2. Inside that directory, though, no page(s) get created (this is bad)

Has anyone else experienced this problem and been able to fix it?

  • Hi Jon,

Thanks for the reply.  After trying several different things, I was finally able to resolve the problem (or work around it at least).  The site I was originally trying to deploy the dashboard to was a Site Collection below the primary Site Collection for the MOSS Web Application.  I eventually deleted that Site Collection and tried deploying to may primary site collection and everything started working.  For Example...

I originally was trying to deploy to a site collection who's root site was at http://campus.company.com/sites/eis.  I got it working by deploy to a site collection who's root site was at http://campus.company.com.

My inclination is that there is a problem deploying Dashboards to site collections that are *below* the primary site collection of a MOSS web application, but this is just a guess.

    Hello Brad,

My name is Jon Thomas and I'm a PerformancePoint Support Engineer.

I have seen this problem a few times. There are a couple of different things that could cause this. Could I get a little bit of environment information from you? Are SharePoint and PerformancePoint Monitoring on the same server or different servers?

If they are different are you using Kerberos?

    Are you using SSL?

What account is running each of the 3 application pools for PerformancePoint Monitoring?

What account is running the application pool for SharePoint?

    Thanks,

    Jon Thomas

  • I am having the exact same problem that the page is not created. It only creates the folder.

Sharepoint and PerformancePoint Monitoring are running on two different machines.

Machine A contains the database of Sharepoint + All components of Monitoring except "Dashboard Viewer for Sharepoint Services "

Machine B contains the web apps of Sharepoint + Dashboard Viewer for Sharepoint Services

    NLTM (Windows Authentication) is used

NETWORK_SERVICE is running the 3 application pools.

A own created domain account is running Sharepoint.

Any ideas are VERY welcome! :-)
