  • Hello All,

Corporate had updates username format and we have been using AD windows authentication for SharePoint. On SharePoint site under permissions some of the users information have been updated and for few users it is still showing in old format. I did check SSP user profiles it's up to date.

  • Hi Ratna,

It is possible to update the user profile data to people and groups of each site collection.

Please run these stsadm commands in the same order as i mentioned here and check the status:

    1. stsadm -o preparetomove -site  http://problemsitecollection/ -undo

    2. stsadm -o sync -ignoreisactive 1

    3. stsadm -o sync -deleteolddatabases 0

    4. stsadm -o sync -synctiming m:1

Command in step number 4 will change the sync timings to 1 minute.

after running the above commands wait for sometime ( about 10 to 15 mins) and then check if the people and groups data is being updated at site collection level or not.

Don't forget to re set the sync timing back to 1 hour.( stsadm -o sync -synctiming H:1 )

User profile can not be updated at site level. It always update from Central Admin-->SSP. If you want to update one by one user details manually then you can follow below link

    http://office.microsoft.com/en-us/sharepoint-server-help/adding-and-editing-user-profile-properties-HA001160323.aspx

Otherwise you can run full import & incremental once again to get the update from AD
