  • You can look at the Device and Vendor ID

    Right click on My Computer

    Select Properties

    Select Hardware tab

    Click on Device Manager button

locate the device that cannot be identified (yellow exclamation mark) then double click on it

Right click on undentified device and select Properties

    Select Details Tab

Read the Device Instance ID which could be something like PCI\VEN_1022&DEV_2000&SUBSYS_20001022&REV_40\3&267A616A&0&18
PCI indicates a PCI device VEN is the Vendor ID (1022 in this example) DEV is the Device ID (2000) in this example.

Go to http://www.pcidatabase.com/ and lookup your Device or Vendor.

    Hope that this helps.
