Logon and Logoff bat file

    Question

  • Dear MS Support,

    Good day...

I have created a logon and log off script as a .bat file that will work if I run it manually but the domain clients are not seeing it.  I have put the .bat files in the logon and logoff GPO as required. Forced a gpupdate /force and tested with a domain\user account no log file created.  The logon .bat file is as follows and works if launched manually as I’ve noted:

rem the following line creates a rolling log file of usage by workstation

    echo Log In %Date% %TIME% %USERNAME% >> D:\Logs\Computer\%COMPUTERNAME%.log

rem the following line creates a rolling log file of usage by user

    echo Log In %Date% %TIME% %COMPUTERNAME% >> D:\Logs\User\%USERNAME%.log

I have included two screen shots to help with this explanation
