Fresh installation of SSPv2.0, but cannot see any existing VMs managed by SCVMM RRS feed

  • Question

  • I have an existing environment of SCVMM with 100+ VMs currently running. I installed the SSPv2.0 and was able to connect to my SCVMM server in order to import the existing templates, but I cannot see any of the existing VMs. I have mutiple self service user roles set up in SCVMM that worked perfectly with SSPv1.0. What am I missing?

    Thanks,

    Dave

Please refer to the FAQ. This will be supported in our next minor release after current version RTW.

Q: Can a user manage pre-existing virtual machines with VMMSSP 2.0, or import existing virtual machines into VMMSSP 2.0?

    A. No. VMMSSP 2.0 does not monitor virtual machines that were created using the VMM Administrator Console or the previously released VMM Self-Service Portal. Import functionality is not available in this release.

    Thanks
