Access to USB through RDP-tcp session RRS feed

  • Question

  • Hello,

I'm trying to run application which need USB dongle to run. The USB key is plugged into the server not into the client computer.

    1. When I logon the server through RDP as user with local administrator rights I have access to USB key.

    2. When I logon the server through RDP as user without local administrator rights I don't have access to USB key.

    3. When I logon the server locally as user without local administrator rights I have access to USB key.

I need option 2 to work. Logon as non-admin user with RDP console session don't resolve problem because I need more than one session at the same time. Since I can logon as an administrator and have access to USB key it seems to be permission issue. Where add permission that RDP-tcp session has access to USB dongle.

    Best regards
