  • Hi,

I would like to verify. Yesterday I encrypt 1 of my user laptop using bitlocker. I also copy the recovery key on the pendrive. But today after i open up the laptop and check the ID key for the recovery key is not the same with the key that i already story in the pendrive. That mean, my old key already invalid for this laptop?

    Today ID Key

  • Hi again.

That ID does not change on its own. It means either, the ID+key you copied to your pendrive was for a different partition, or someone decrypted and re-encrypted your partition.

  • Hi Ronald,

Thank for the explanation. I will verify with my team member about that.
