Digitally signed alerts / notifications RRS feed

  • We would like for our email alerts coming from SharePoint, maybe Exchange 2003 to be digitally signed when sent!  This kind of rolls over to all our other products that send alerts / notifications as well.  Not sure if this is more of an Exchange 2003 function because that is where our relay is setup at or if there is a method to get SharePoint to digitally sign these messages / alerts before sending to the Exchange 2003 server.

    Please understand the digital signature should be signed by the sender itself, i.e. SharePoint Server in the current situation. Exchange Server can’t help client to add a signature. So far as I know, SharePoint can’t digitally sign the messages. Nevertheless, you can write a post on our SharePoint Server forum to see if some can help:
