WSUS Server stops working after 1st sync... RRS feed

  • Question

  • Dear Everyone,

We are facing a very painful error in WSUS with SCCM, we have tried all the possible solutions available but still unable to solve it..

We have SCCM and installing WSUS SP1, WSUS installs and sync with internet and SCCM, but after 1-2hrs it stops working, the WSUS console says that the server is not available.

The WSUS administration console was unable to connect to the WSUS Server via the remote API.

Verify that the Update Services service, IIS and SQL are running on the server. If the problem persists, try restarting IIS, SQL, and the Update Services Service.

When we restart the Update Services we get the following error in event viewer..

The DSS Authentication Web Service is not working.
The SimpleAuth Web Service is not working.
The Client Web Service is not working.
The Server Synchronization Web Service is not working.

Please Note that we have tried all the things...

    Seeking your help..

    Regards,

    NS

  • Naveed,

Can you please provide us below query.

    WCM.log

Provides information about the software update point configuration and connecting to the WSUS server for subscribed update categories, classifications, and languages.

Check logs & post by default, in <InstallationPath>\Logs.

    Thanks,
