UAG and Terminal Services 2008 R2 prompting for authentication RRS feed

  • Question

  • I'm setting up a demo environemnt and have installed terminal service 2008 R2. I have configured UAG to publish the remoteapps and everything looks to be working okay.

The issue I have is if I login to the UAG portal with just the username then when I launch the application I get prompted to login and I need to login with domain\username.

If I login to UAG with domain\username or the users UPN then I don't get the prompt.

I have set the authentication server to be have the DC's defined and then the domain set to the NETBIOS name for the domain. I have also tried the setting on the "Use local active directory ...." with the same results.

  • Hi Darren,

The RDG that is integrated into UAG has no notion on the domain that should be used so it is required to add it using the "domain\username" notation. You could add a customized script that will automatically add the domain.

    Thanks,
