Documenting a Protection Group - OnsiteGenerator.Schedules.Jobtype returns null RRS feed

  • Question

  • Hi there..

I have been working on a script, which should have been quite easy, but I have got stuck on the Schedules object of ProetcionGroup.OnsiteGenerator.

The code was going to look like this....

    ForEach ($Schedule in $Schedules)
       {

        If ($Schedule.JobTypestring -eq "Synchronization")

But I cannot seem to get any values out from JobTypestring or any property of Schedule for that matter.

If I issue the commands in the PowerShell window

            $pg = Get-ProtectionGroup
            $pg[0].OnsiteGenerator.schedules

    I get

            Schedule type               Schedule
            -------------                     --------
            Synchronization            Every 30 minutes
            Express full                   20:00 Everyday

    But if type

           $pg[0].OnsiteGenerator.schedules.JobTypestring

I get nothing back making it hard to use the output in a CSV file.

Any ideas why the properties of Schedules do not seem to work... I am quite new to PowerShell so it maybe a stupid question.

Thank you in advance for any advice.

    Chris
