Problem with Collection that excludes another collection RRS feed

  • Question

  •

In SMS 2003, you could use a collection that included syntax that would not include members of another collection within it.

    The syntax for example was:

    select
    SMS_R_System.ResourceID,SMS_R_System.ResourceType,SMS_R_System.Name,SMS_
    R_System.SMSUniqueIdentifier,SMS_R_System.ResourceDomainORWorkgroup,SMS_
R_System.Client from SMS_R_System where Name not in (select system.name
from  SMS_CM_RES_COLL_0010000D AS collection, SMS_R_SYSTEM AS system
    where system.SmsUniqueIdentifier = collection.smsid)

I am trying to do the same thing in SCCM but cannot find the tables outlined as above, anybody tried this.

Case Scenario/Functionality: Allows you to create a collection with Critieria as well as excludes systems from being in the collection that are found in another Collection.

English explanation: It has my critieria and it doesn't have any systems from that other collection.

  • I figured it out, just cannot test this in a SQL Query, it must be the syntax for a Collection

    select SMS_R_System.ResourceID,SMS_R_System.ResourceType,
    SMS_R_System.Name,SMS_R_System.SMSUniqueIdentifier,
    SMS_R_System.ResourceDomainORWorkgroup,SMS_R_System.Client
    from SMS_R_System where Client = 1 and ClientType = 1 and
ResourceId not in (select ResourceID from SMS_CM_RES_COLL_XXXXXXXX)
