Where is rulesoptimizer.exe in UAG? RRS feed

  • Hi, all,

    In IAG, there is an utility named rulesoptimizer.exe which can generate urlsets rule. But I can't find it in UAG. Where is it?

    I'm sorry you feel this way, but such is our business. Sometimes, features are dropped from products, and the ruleset recorder and optimizer is one of them. You can still create rules manually using the Advanced Trunk Configuration, and you will have to use another way to analyze the traffic. I recommend using HTTPWatch to generate a list of URLs, and then using tools like Excel to remove duplicats, and your own senses to analyze the patterns that the application needs. For most applications, this is not very hard.

  • If it is true, why the record function still there?

    After record traffic, how can we optimize it to generate URL Set like in IAG?

    My customer purchase IAG as Web Application Firewall and use this function a lot. It is not accepted that upgrade to UAG can't do the same thing!

    Is there any workaround?
