FIM 2010 R2 - Creating own reports RRS feed

  • Question

  • Just wondering are there any guides how to create own "normal" reports for FIM. For example if I need a report which lists all users in FIM, how can I do that?

  • Hello,

we implemented a similar Scenario at a customer.

There is a seperate database where we Export all relevat objects for reporting, then using SQL Server Reporting Services to built the required reports.

Theres a lot of documentation out there on how to use SSRS.

Why do you use a separe database? Are there some special reasons for that?

  • Thats because we want a lot ob Objects for reporting, and without that database we had to query FIMService and FIMSync DB, so we deciced to create an seperate DB.

I find it not a good idea to query both FIM DBs directly, even with NOLOCK.
