Host entry updates in DNS RRS feed

  • Hi,

    I have 1000 clients including laptop,desktop,servers all these host entries are stored in AD integrated DNS.

    in DNS console few host entries are not showing the correct time stamp.

    Few host entries are showing very older date,few entries are showing latest date.

    But no user impact due to this incorrect time stamp.

    Assist me to  correct the time stamp issue.

  • All clients are in same domain? Please explain your domain structure /Site /logical & physical boundaries.

    Have you configure DHCP registered records for DNS server?

    You could configure scavenging for records, and on client please configure dynamically update record.

  • All clients are belongs to same domain, same site.

    No multiple sites.

    Have you configure DHCP server registered records to DNS server for clients?

    Have you configured DNS scavenging for records?

    If yes, please configure dynamically register record to DNS server on client.
