Manually install Office 365 desktop updates RRS feed

  • Question

  • Our company are entering Exchange Online in a near future. There are a couple of updates that need to be installed on the client.
Of course we have the option to let the user install the updates through the 365 online portal but that's not an option. The updates
we need to deploy are the ones below. I tried to import them into wsus but could not find them. I know that hotfixes not can be deployed through
wsus. My question is, will these fixes be available in wsus in the future since more and more companys are entering Exchange online?

I could deploy them throug Sccm but Wsus is much smoother...

  • Hi,

outlook2010-kb2544027-fullfile-x86-glb.exe, outlook2010-kb2544027-fullfile-x64-glb.exe are no longer available.

office-kb2544404-fullfile-x86-glb.exe is intended to correct a specific problem. If you are not sure whether the hotfix is the correct one for your system, do not install it. So they are all not available for WSUS.

My question is, will these fixes be available in wsus in the future since more and more companys are entering Exchange online?

It is not available through WSUS until it appears in the Option > Products and Classificaiton. You can install it through 365 online portal or SCCM or GPO.

    Best regards,

    Clarence

  • It appears that this hotfix is included in windows update http://www.howto-outlook.com/news/updates-2011-11-ol2010.htm . It's just so confusing when MS posts download links to old hotfixes on their Official Office 365 site.
