lync voice caller ID RRS feed

  • Question

  • I am looking for a way to get Lync to Read the caller ID out loud. we have a few blind users and would like to be able to have it say something like call from (name or number) instead of just ring.

  • Relatively speaking that would be a fairly simple app to write (or have written).  You'd just have a small UCMA app that runs on the desktop in conjunction with Lync and it reads the name or number using the inherent speech capabilities when Lync receives an INVITE that contains audio capabilities.

  • Agree with Mike. This is not out of the box. However, you can assign delegate to make or receive call. In addition, here is some other discussion about this requirement. Just have a check.
