  • Question

  • In my event log I have 12 DCOM errors, all of them are 2147944122 to different IP (example 192.168.254.84).

    The users at these address do not seem to have any connectivity errors.  Is this something I should be worried about or can I continue to ignore it?

    The error is:

    DCOM got error "2147944122" from the computer 192.168.254.XX when attempting to activate the server:
    {8BC3F05E-D86B-11D0-A075-00C04FB68820}

  • Make sure that WMI access from your site server to those clients (the IPs listed in the events) is allowed through the Windows Firewall or other client-based firewall.
