Merge selected text from various (Word) documents into one (Word) master document RRS feed

  • I am looking for an easy and faster way than cut and paste to copy selected text from 9 very long documents into one master document (Word 10). I would also like to know if I can use some kind of split or parallel screens in the process. I have had a good suggestion, to use VBA to achieve it, but I don,t have VBA yet and I don,t yet know how to use it, so I am trying to find some solution in Word 10.)Thank you very much for any help!

  • Copying the content of an entire document requires nothing more than Ctrl-A, Ctrl-C, after which you can switch to the other document and past the content via Ctrl-V. Writing a macro to automate the process for 9 documents would take far longer than doing it manually.
