how do you turn off Office.com access?

    Question

  • We are running Office 2010 and from within Word, Excel etc.... if you add Clipart there is a check boxed called "Include Office.com content"   how do you turn that off or Gray it out?

I found one post that said this:

We recently turned on the Preference Mode for User Configuration -> Windows Settings -> Internet Explorer.  Under that setting we went to Advanced page, then Internet Settings, and then Advanced Settings and under the Connection heading, "Enable Autodialing" was enabled by default, we removed the checkmark for it and relogged in a user under that policy and the clipart for Office.com started working including other applications that used the web to update began working as well.  Hope this helps someone else.

My issue is the setting they reference does NOT exist in our GPO's.   There is no "enable autodialing" to be found.

  • Hi,

    >>We recently turned on the Preference Mode for User Configuration -> Windows Settings -> Internet Explorer.

Base on the description, it shoud be Windows Settings\Intenet Explorer Maintenance (IEM). In fact, since Windows 8, the IEM settings have been deprecated in favor of Group Policy Preferences, Administrative Templates (.admx), and the Internet Explorer Administration Kit 10 (IEAK 10).

Regarding this point, the following article can be referred to for more information.

For this question, we can aslo ask for help in Office forums.
