Change Computer Name on Exchange Server 2010 SP1

I have installed Exchange server 2010 SP1. But unfortunately the Hostname "Computer Name" was wrong. I need the Change the Computer Name of this Exchange Server 2010 SP1. Is it possible to change the Computer Name of Exchange Server?

Is their any impact to change if i change?

Exchange server is running well. The new server is for Archiving. and i have not still configure the archive policy yet.

Please suggest

Hi ,

If that server is not yet introduced in production environment for use then my suggestion would be to completely uninstall the exchange server and do a fresh installation with the proper host name.

Event though if you change it to new server name there would be an possibility to have entries of the old server name in AD as well on the registry keys of the server.
