  • Question

  • Hi All,

I have integrated FIM 2010 r2 with office 365 and now i wants to sync AD password with office 365.

Now my question is, should i directly install PCNS on DC to sync ad password with the Office 365 or

Is there any other method to do this activity?

    Any help would be appriciated.

    Thanks in advance!!!

  • ADFS on its own does not require DirSync. However, I would suggest to have a redundant ADFS configuration (more than one ADFS STS)

    Thanks for the update.

Actually, I have two servers one is for ADFS and second one is for Dir sync and FIM Sync server. I am following the below link:

Should ADFS server also have Dir sync installed?

  • When you have ADFS in place and use DirSync to sync the AD accounts to O365 the passwords do not need to sync, whenever the users accesses O365 is will authenticate the users with your own AD and provide claims via ADFS to O365, is that what you want?

  • You're not going to use ADFS for federated login?
