Inconsistent Replica problem RRS feed

  • Question

  • I have 3 non-clustered domain controllers backed up by DPM 2007 that repeatedly report the replica is inconsistent and on which consistency checks fail. I have removed the replicas using the shell, stopped protection, removed the agent and all information about the system using the Management tab, reinstalled the agent and reprotected the member. Yet, I still receive an error that the only recovery point is 10/31/2011 and is inconsistent. Protection is working on other domain controllers.

Because this 10/31/2011 recovery point shows up as the latest and oldest it makes me think I have information that isn't being purged from the database.

    Any help would be appreciated.

    Thanks

  • Hi RTEAL,

If you do still have this problem, which error do you get when trying to run Consistency Check?

Which data source of these DCs are you protecting (like Volume, Share, System State, etc).

    Is this a Windows 2003, Windows 2008 or Windows 2008 R2 DC?
