How to suppress the security warning when calling a cross domain web service using java script returning jason input and parse the result RRS feed

  • Question

  • Hello,

For one of our project, we are trying call a Rest web service using java script that is returning JSON response.

However, we are using XMLHttpRequest to call the web service but every time we call the webservice we are getting a security pop up.

The application we are using is accessed by many users and it is not possible to change the 'Access Data Sources Across Domain' Check box setting under Miscellaneous in Security settings.

We are using IE 8 or 9.

Can anyone help us on how to suppress this using java script or jquery without changing the setting?

    Regards,

    Shambo Maitra.

  • Hi Shambo Maitra,

    Please check this option:

Tools / Internet Options / Security / Internet Zone / Custom… dialog, the “Display mixed content” option can be set to “Disable

This option will automatically block insecure content in secure pages without the annoyance of the prompt.

  • Hi Alex,

There are many users and stake holders are not getting agreed to make this changes for each users machine.

Hence, I want to know if there is any way to suppress this pop up at code level instead of changing IE settings.

    Regards,

    Shambo Maitra.
