Power Query and Google Drive File Stream: how 2 users can update a file? RRS feed

  • Question

  • Hello,

    Here is the issue:

    On Google Drive ( https://drive.google.com):
    3 Excel files
User A is the 3 Excel files owner and User B can edit those files

    On Google Drive File Stream:

    The same 3 Excel files
Users A and B can edit/save those files

    On Google Drive File Stream:

Another Excel file that uses data from the 3 Excel files, via Power Query.
This file was built by User A.

Users A and B can edit/save this new file but user B can’t update it when using Power Query.
For both users, the path is “G:\My Drive\FolderXX\”

The message is "  Data could not be retrieved from the database. Check the database server or contact your database administrator. Make sure the external database is available, and then try the operation again."

    I use Excel 2010.

I guess it’s about authorizations parameter but I don’t know how to deal with it.
