  • Deprecation of EOP Outbound IP Address Ranges

Over the next several weeks, We will be deprecating some EOP outbound IP address ranges to simply IP range management.  To avoid mail flow interruption, organizations that are configured for Hybrid mail flow or customers who subscribe to Exchange Online Protection(EOP) must update the network to allow connections from the IP Address ranges identified in this article: here

    What is the change?

Currently, EOP accepts mail from 25 IP address ranges.  By the end of September, this list will be consolidated down to 4 EOP IP address ranges.  This deprecation will take place over several weeks and should be completed by the end of September.

What action do I need to take?

To avoid mail flow interruption, your organization must update the Allow lists on the on-premises firewall/network gateways to make sure the final 4 EOP IP address ranges are included.  If your organization do not update the settings to include these IP address ranges, mail flow to your organization’s on-premises environment will fail.  If you have configured partner connectors to securely exchange emails with other organizations, you should also inform those partner organizations to ensure their networks are configured to accept connections from all documented EOP outbound IP address ranges.  We recommend you finish the configuration before Sep 7, 2018.
