Netplwiz.exe in XP RRS feed

  • Question

  • I know you can bring this up via control userpasswords2 but what is the actual program behind this? I know netplwiz is the one used in Vista and Windows 7. What is Windows XP's?

In XP, netplwiz is a .dll not an .exe (program), it’s explained here http://kb.cadzow.com.au:15384/cadzow/details.aspx?ID=1919

Type nusrmgr.cpl in a Run box to display User Accounts.

Is there a way to directly invoke control userpasswords2? I'm writing a VB.NET program, and I want a button to directly bring up that dialog.

Perhaps this really relates to the VB.NET forum rather than XP. But you got me far enough to go to their forum now.
