OK button disabled on call forwarding RRS feed

  • Question

  • Hi,

We are having an intermediate problem with forwarding calls because the OK button is disabled (please see the picture).

Sometimes the button is "normal" and when clicked, the actual forwarding works fine.

The problem is just that the da*n button is inactivated sometimes and if the users can't click OK it doesn't forward of course.

If we restart the client a few times (2-3 times) the button is activated again for some reason.

If it's something wrong with the settings, why does it work sometimes?

Do you guys have an idea what's going on or how to troubleshoot this problem?

    Regards,

    Adam

  • Thanks for the answer.

What setting would cause this kind of behaviour and why does it work most of the time?

  • Side note: Is there any guide how to properly configure a response group to avoid this?

  • Please see the picture so you know which button I mean.

It's from the dialog that pops up when you want to activate call forwarding to a new contact.

  • The links were great but they don't explain why I can't forward to that response group. Or even worse, why I can't forward there sometimes

  • Hi Adam,

Is that happening only with response groups ? did you try with another response  group , what about a contact if you search them were you able to get the ok button

  • It concerns all my response groups (4 groups). Please remember it works sometimes.

I can always forward to user accounts, no problem there.

  • Could you give us information about the number FE servers, Version etc. When was the last update done on the servers.

Also check for match making service event id 31124, is that properly showing the match maker service switch between the servers.

  • We are using one FE server. Skype for Business Server 2015 (6.0.9319.0)

I'm not sure about the last update, as far as I know it's updated regularly.

I searched for the event 31124 in the FE server and couldn't find it.

    Monday, July 4, 2016 2:11 PM
  • Ok it should be the STD edition server, event id should be visible as it will show for STD server as well. Its basically the event which tell  whos holding  the match making service, which is required for

    Match Making Service (MMS):

    • 1. Validate to be the active MMS otherwise send to the active one
    • 2. Find the appropriate queue (multiple queues can serve on workflow)
    • 3. Get the correct agent group
    • 4. Find available and eligible agent(s), depending on the routing method (parallel, longest idle, serial or attendant).
    • 5. Send the collection of available agent back to the call handler to execute the transfer.

  • Thanks for the reply Akampa.

Just to be sure that we are on the same page, there is no problem with the actual forwarding, it works great. There is no problem there at all. It finds the correct agent group etc, etc etc. Everything is perfect in that matter.

The only problem is that the button is inactivated sometimes, and its pretty hard to save when the button is inactivated. But often it's actually "normal" and we can push the OK/Save button and everything works fine.

My problem is the button, is your previous reply related to the button or to the forwarding. Because the latter works fine.

  • Does nobody know why the skype client would disable the button to forward to a response group, but only sometimes even though no change have been done.

Please understand that the actual forwarding works, it works wonderfully when we are able to push the button.

  • Hi Adam,

Thank you for explaining. Would it be possible to test the behavior by providing the user with a different  machine/Client for few days and see how it goes. I could only suspect the client end in this case , I agree that the behavior should be constant  but have seen some issues bonded to the system or client.

  • Hi Linus,

I have tested a little bit. I tested on multiple clients and multiple accounts.

The behavior is the same, it works often. But sometimes the button just gets inactivated.

I'm starting to believe that it's related to the address book, could it be that the address book marks the response group inactivated?

    Regards,

    Adam
