  • Hi,

Most likely neither R nor R Studio can be run on an RT machine. The solution would be to reformat the machine and install Windows "proper" (or Linux). I'm not sure you can do that on an RT box though.

  • Yes, sorry, ARM chips are not supported by Microsoft R Open--we support only processors of this general type: 64-bit processor with x86-compatible architecture (such as AMD64, Intel 64, x86-64, IA-32e, EM64T, or x64 chips).

  • I am having problems on a Surface pro 4, Windows 10, 8GB, i5. Everything statistics script I try to run, or anything else for that matter, runs so slowly as to be essentially useless. I have troubleshot with my whole department, and nothing helped. Any ideas as to why this happens and how I might fix it?
