Automatic Updates Detection frequency

Question
-
I want to my computers receive software deployments by a schedule time, no after 22 hours or by manually intervention. So, I think on change the "Automatic Updates Detection frequency". This will work fine?
My idea is change this to 1 hour, and the SCE will work like SCCM advertisement schedule. Right?

Generally, leave the default setting and client can detect needed update every 22 hours after bussiness time. You can change it based on your requirement.

Hi,
You can change SCE managed computers GPO to accomplish it. Edit this GPO and then navigate to computer configuration->administrative templates->windows update. In right pane, you will find automatic updates detection frequency setting. You can change detection time to 1.

Hi,
It depends on your environment bandwidth, client numbers and software urgency. I recommend not set detection frequency more often. The value can be greater and this will not throttle bandwith on business time.
