    Hi

    I'm experiencing the error when installing sccm agent.how to resolve this issue.

    Please contact whomever made the batch file you are using to do the install.  It seems like some of the files are missing that are required for the pre-requisites.

    Alternately, post the contents of your ccmsetup.log file.

    Yes, the issue here has nothing to do with ConfigMgr and is a problem with the the unique process you are calling.

    I can confirm that Batch file is working fine for other servers.

    processor details:
    amd opteron processor 885
    2.60GHz 3.75 GB of ram

    Pretty clear error message there: "This operating system does not contain the correct version of BITS. BITS 2.5 or later is required."

    The person who made your batch file likely ripped the MSI out from CCMSetup.exe.  The reason to NOT do that is that ccmsetup.exe takes care of installing all the pre-reqs, like <strike>BITS</strike>.  Ok, Torsten points out BITS isn't on the list of auto installs, but .NET, RDC, Silverlight, and the C++ redistributables are.

    BITS 2.5 is *not* installed automatically by ccmsetup.exe.

    Yikes... Thanks for the correction, Torsten!  I guess its been a long time since I ran into a machine supported by ConfigMgr that didn't already have BITS 2.5, since it was included in Service Pack 3 for Windows XP.

    The full pre-reqs are listed here:

    You'll see that BITS is on the list of things that have to be there before CCMSetup.exe has to run.  The list below that are pre-reqs that CCMSetup.exe will attempt to download and install for you.

     

    You'll need to make sure BITS is installed before installing CCMSetup.exe
