Queue operations cannot be used from within a transaction - Error in App Log RRS feed

  • Question

  • Hi Experts,

When a team member clicks on Send Timesheet (after filling task details) in his timesheet, a CRITICAL ERROR is shown in the Application Log of the Project Server 2010. Whereas there is NO error in the "Project Web App  --> Manage Queue Jobs"

Here are the error details copied and pasted from the app log of the Project Server:

    Standard Information:PSI Entry Point:

I have seen this thread but not able to fix it on my Project Server:

    http://social.technet.microsoft.com/Forums/en-US/projserv2010setup/thread/58b7534d-edcb-4b67-86e7-ca357b123be2/

Also I have tried to change the Service Account for

    • Windows Service - Microsoft Project Server Events Serive
    • Windows Service - Microsoft Project Server Queueing Service

Please advise the resolution to this problem.

    Thanks in advance!

This is not user specific. This Critical error has been noticed for more than 4 team members while they submit their timesheet.

They neither get any kind of error message in PWA 2010, nor there is a problem in their timesheet's data after submission. It's the only Application Log at the Project Server, which shows the CRITICAL error, once a team member clicks on "Send Timesheet" in their respective PWA 2010.
