secure admin workstations - still best practice? RRS feed

  • General discussion

  • Hey,

I am currently thinking about secure access to our highly critical systems (e.g. Domain Controllers, ERP Servers etc.)
In the past microsoft recommended using secure admin workstations.
So I tried to read some more about it and the ideas behind.

Unfortuantely the deteailed article is marked as "not reflecting Microsoft current position" and within another article containing some related information with admin workstations there is still link to server 2003!! documentation :D:D

Does anyone know how the current best practice is and where it is documented?

Of course especially for such a high cirtical topic it always makes sense to have some Microsoft PFE or security expert on site,
but I do not want to get into discussion for best solution without any knowledge than basic administrator ones.

Thanks to everyone for your concept ideas and experiences in advance :)
