Assingning admin or pm roles to users with project lite license RRS feed

  • Hi,

    I have some questions about the restrictions of Project Lite License.

    1 - An user with PM ou ADMIN (as example) role could use a Project Lite license?

    1.1 - If yes, there are restrictions (view, actions, permissions) due to the license?

    2 - An user with Project Lite License could have ADMIN or PM (as example) role?

  • Hi,

    1- Admin must have the Project Online licence, the Project Lite is not enought. Note that the PO licence includes PL capacilities, so you don't need both, only PO.

    2- This is the same question but the other way around. Admin needs Project Online licence. Note that the application won't prevent you from adding a user with a PL licence to the admin group, but I think the PO licence will be then automatically assigned to the user.

    To summarize:

    • Admin, executives, PMO, resource managers : PO licence
    • Project manager: PO + Project Pro for O365 licence
    • Team members: PL licence
