Word for Mac 2011 crashes when I copy and paste a table RRS feed

    I'm using Microsoft Word for Mac 2011, version 14.1.2. I'm pasting a line of text and a table with 1 row and 2 columns - and an image in the leftmost cell. I can past once, maybe twice, and then crash. At some point it crashes with the first paste.

    If your OS X is Lion, go to Word > Preferences > Edit and turn off Smart Copy Paste. Also bring your version of Office up to the current release by using Word > Help > Check for Updates. (keep running it until it tells you that you're current.)
