Windows 10 Enterprise x64bit failed to install client RRS feed

    We have new Windows10 Enterprise 2016 LTSB installations and SCCM2012 R2 clients are failing to be installed. We even ran the "msiexec /a client.msi" frrom the "x64" folder @ the SCCM server. We checked the Windows Systems log and we are getting the following error :

    A timeout was reached (30000 milliseconds) while waiting for the ccmsetup service to connect.

    2012 R2 does not support Win 10 LTSB 2016.

    Running the MSI directly is not supported and the /a switch doesn't install MSIs anyway.

    To locally install the client agent, you always need to run ccmsetup. From there you can check ccmsetup.log. As mentioned though, LTSB 2016 is not supported so it may or may not even work.
