Is there a current icon glossary for SCCM 2012? RRS feed

  • Question

  • Hi,

I've been looking for an icon glossary for 2012 similar to the one for SCCM 2007 (http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/library/bb633260.aspx) without much luck.

I am trying to find out what these 2 icons mean

X that appears in All Software Updates which appears against some updates in All Software Updates

    and

X that appears in Software Update Groups which appears against some update groups.

These two icons aren't listed in the 2007 icon glossary and I'd just like to know for sure what they mean. I suspect they may mean Expired but I'm not sure. Also, if it does mean expired, I understand how that could happen with a software update but where does the SCCM get that info from for a Group - does a single update expire the whole group?

What should I do about it if that is the case to get a nice green arrow back?

Thanks in advance for any pointers.

  • Hi Darren,

Here's a link to the official documentation (they hide it pretty well):

  • Hi Darren,

The icon's mean Expired Updates for Software Updates and when an update group has a black cross it means that the group contains an expired update.

Doesn't the current Technet documentation has the glossary? If not I will look into it it to blog about it.

    Cheers,

    Peter
