Excel Report loses formatting after data refresh RRS feed

  • Hi, I have an Excel Report listing milestones. When new milestones are added from existing plans they are added to the report as expected but my date formatting, centre alignment and percentage formats are not honoured for the new rows. Why is this and does anyone know the solution?

    Please try this:

    1) Open the report in Excel, and right click on the Pivot Table, and select Pivot Table Options

    2) On the Layout & Format Section, make sure the box for "Preserve Cell formatting on Update", is checked. Also, uncheck the box for "Auto fit column widths on update"

    3) Click OK.

    I am using Excel 2013, so the descriptions could be off, but you will see similar options in earlier versions.
