    i have a strange problem that when i enabled ssl on my web application
    so i connect to my site by (https)
    then every thing working well but

    sharepoint menu disappeared and  site map for sharepoint not show all sub site 
    ,  the sharepoint search give me 
    Object reference not set to an instance of an object. when i do specific search

    i solved the problem by add the url (https) 
    to alternate access mapping
