  • Hi Ismaeel,

Follow the link below to have a look at the supported and unsupported formats for FAST Search 2010. It lists ".swf" file in not included by default section

    http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/library/gg471168.aspx

According the following blog, The Advanced Filter Pack leverages Oracle’s OutsideIn technology. The list of supported formats can be found here

    http://www.tylercranston.com/2011/04/fast-search-and-file-types.html

    Additionally,

On the Search Administration page, under Crawling, click Crawl Log. Look for the following messages:

    1.     Unknown document format, skipping conversion

This message indicates that you have to register and install a third-party IFilter. See Configure FAST Search Server 2010 for SharePoint to use a third-party IFilter for more information.

    2.     No filter available. Enable the Advanced Filter Pack for more filters

This message indicates that the content and metadata can be extracted by enabling the Advanced Filter Pack. See Enable the Advanced Filter Pack for more information.

    3.     If none of these messages appear, perform a search and verify that the content is searchable.

  • Dear Dhirendra:

Thank you for your reply, but all the above actions were done before we submit a question, also we tried to use push power shell command on FAST server, but the problem is there is not iFilter for Flash (swf) installed on the server. is there iFilter for Flash or is embedded in Advanced Filter Pack?

    Regards.
