SBS Migration - 2003 to 2011 - .Net Installation RRS feed

  • Question

  • I am running through the migration guide and have come across the following step:

'To run the migration tools, you need Microsoft .NET Framework 2.0 SP1 on the Source Server. To download and install Microsoft .NET Framework 2.0 SP1, seeMicrosoft .NET Framework 2.0 Service Pack 1 (x86)'

I have .NET SP2 installed and the SP1 install is throwing me an error.

I have had some issues with the pre-migration tasks (SBS SP1 needing to be reinstalled when the server is actually SP2) so I want to be cautious.

Do I need to uninstall SP2, install SP1 then SP2 to run the migration tools smoothly, or can I move ahead with SP2?
