I need to keep a printer from using the spooler RRS feed

  • Question

  • Long story short, I have a printer and print to IP. I need the option under the advanced printer settings for "spool directly to printer" to stay selected. Every time I log off and back on the printer goes back to spooling. I've tried disabling the print spooler in Services altogether, however when I do that Devices and Printer show no printer at all.

  • Hi,

Do you means change printer setting to "Print directly to the printer", however it change back to "Spool print documents so program finishes printing faster" after you log off?

If I misunderstand your concern, please fell free to let me know.

How did you test with a new created account? Please ensure that you have log on with it and change the advance setting, then check if this still persists after you log off.
