Project Server 2013 Timesheets and Archived Projects Display in Existing Projects RRS feed

  • Question

  • We have installed and been using Project Server 2013 with SharePoint permissions mode. We are starting to use Timesheets and when a user clicks on Add Row(Select from Existing Assignments) I am seeing projects that have a status of Archived.  I have not found any way to filter the view to hide all archived projects.  I am hoping someone has already solved this or can point me to a better way of doing this.

  • I haven't seen this particular error, but if the project has been archived and also delete from PWA, then it sounds like a closed project.   When closing a project schedule, all the tasks remaining work should be set to 0 and the tasks mark to 100%. This closes the schedule and also releases all the resources.

To fix this, then I would do the following

    1) Restore the schedule

    2) Open schedule in draft, zero remaining work and mark all task 100%

    3) Publish schedule

    4) Archive schedule

    5) Delete published/draft schedule

and finally you may need to delete and recreate the timesheet for the status to be updated.
