  • Same here ... did you manage to find out a work around?

  • Could use some more information on your configuration. Is this a physical or virtual server?  What operating system are you trying to install DPM on? Is this a clean OS installation, or are there other roles installed?

If it is Server 2012, did you install .net 3.5?

The logs you posted mention "Configuration error description: Access is denied" I'm guessing you're running the installation as an account which is a local admin, but doesn't hurt to double check.

  • Hi

I have tried everything to get this to work...

    Physical Server 2012

    .net 3.5 installed

I installed DPM2012 with the rollup 3update,  every time I click on the recovery section it crashed the console... I had this last time and the beta sp1 upgrade fixed this, this is however is not available  anymore as the final version is now available.

I  tried SCDPM 2012 with sp1 and it will not install because SQL is not compatible with 2012 server.

This all came about because my trial period ran out on the beta sp1 upgrade (I know I should have been aware of this), which basically means I have to start again which also renders my data useless as I backup to hard drives not tapes... why can you not just install the licence key after the trial period ends is a joke.

I have read through multiple forums and lots of users are having the same problems.

All I want is for it to backup my files, why do you make it so complicated!!! and I hate to say it but back to Symantec backup, it installs easily and works without having to be a rocket scientist.

    Love to All

    Nodge
