apple outlook and connection to exchange 2013 server

Question
-
we have recently upgraded our Exchange server from 2007 to 2013. I have a user that is using an apple laptop and unfortunately the client is not able to connect to the server using Outlook.
The error is account cannot be added. Note that Outlook 2011 requires exchange server 2007 SP1 Rollup 4 or later.
Any suggestions as am trying to connect to 2013 with latest updates
Thanks

You mean Outlook for Mac? That client connects to Exchange using Exchange Web Services.
If you allow access to EWS from the Internet, you might want to first check it using the Exchange Remote Connectivity Analyzer at http://exrca.com.
I recommend that you post this in the Outlook for Mac Forum: http://www.officeformac.com/ProductForums/Outlook/

You said nothing about having Office 365 in your original post. You didn't think that might be important? Do you have a hybrid configuration? That's pretty much required for Autodiscover to redirect to Office 365.

Can you resolve autodiscover.domain.com? I believe Outlook 2011 on Mac uses EWS to connect to exchange, does this work?
Can the user access Outlook from a windows machine? Does OWA work on the Mac?

Hi Nicko
The account is indeed moved to Exchange 2013. OWA works fine on the Mac.
The steps sent I followed them but I still cannot connect. Note that am trying to connect to 2013 exchange server
thanks
