How to run SharePoint Engineer Troubleshooting Helper RRS feed

  • I want to troubleshoot one of our sharepoint 2010 front end server.

    We are having issue of permission deleted on one of our Sharepoint 2010 site.

    I came to know we can troubleshoot issues using SharePoint Engineer Troubleshooting Helper


    I want to know:

    Do I need to install it?

    How to run this tool to troublesoot?

    If no installation required Where can I find it on my machine?

    This SharePoint Engineer Troubleshooting Helper (SETH) manifest is designed to detect certain problematic conditions that may exist with configuration of the Microsoft SharePoint Server.

    We can try it out at:  https://wc.ficp.support.microsoft.com/Dashboards/Main/SelfHelpCase/Create?showReturn=True

    Then click the third link, enter a name for the Analysis Session you are about to create, start to detect certain problematic conditions.
