free/busy between two organizations one have Exchange 2007 second at Office365 RRS feed

  • Hello,
    My organization, that have Exchange 2007 (sp3), bought another organization that use Office 365.
    What i should implement to use Free/Busy between organizations?
    Is it enought to install Exchange 2010 at exchange 2007 organization?

  • No, it is not enough.  You would need a hybrid configuration.

    I'm updating this to say that you may not necessarily need a complete hybrid configuration for free-busy sharing, but you will need some pieces of it, such as organizational federation.

    in continuing the conversation:

    After installing Exchange 2010 (CAS only) on-premises, creating Federation trust, Organization trust i can see Free/Busy for Office 365 users only when i create external e-mail contact on my Exchange 2007. (all on-premises users are placed on Exchange 2007).

    Question: Should i create contacts for all Office 365 users or I have other options?

  • When I add e-mail address without contact I see nothing (no information). May be I lost some settings?
