Configure Trend Micro 10 AV for NAP RRS feed

  • Question

  • Hi,

We are working on NAP poc/testing. One of the item to be validated by NAP is Trend Micro AV updates.
Is there any guide/documentation on how to configure Trend Micro with NAP?

    Thanks

  • There aren't any guides for configuring NAP specifically with another vendor's SHA/SHV implementation under the NAP platform. However, you should be able to follow the generic NAP step-by-step guides Microsoft does provide and simply include any Trend Micro provided SHV's in the configured Health Policies under NPS.

Whether or not you use the Windows SHA/SHV provided in-box, ultimately it is you who defines what 'Healthy' means for your NAP deployment. You install other SHA's on your clients with the corresponding SHV's on your servers and configure them in your NPS Health Policies to create this definition of Health. Other than the NPS Health Policy configuration, the rest of the NAP step-by-step guides should be relevant for you.

The NAP step-by-step guides can be found here: http://www.microsoft.com/windowsserver2008/en/us/nap-technical-resources.aspx

I would also check with Trend Micro to see if they provide any information specific to their SHA/SHV implementation or deployment.
