    How do I get proof that my email has been delivered?

     

    Can I get an acknowledgement from the recepient?

    Hi,

     

    from the tools option in create new message of windows mail select 'request read receipt'

    I can not locate a "create new message" in tools.

    you will find it in the tools menu of the new mail compose window that appears after you click create new message.

    Your reply to my request advised me to go to the "tools" menu in "create new message" to find where I can request and acknowledgement from the people I send my emails to.  When I open a new message......there is NO TOOLS MENU or drop down box and nothing on the tool bar says tools either.
