D: drive not showing up after OSD RRS feed

  • Question

  • I am deploying a Windows 7 image to some HP Z840 workstations.

They have an SSD for the OS and a large SATA drive for data.

I can't get the D: (data) to show up.

The OS installs on the SSD C: fine, but the DVD drive shows up as the D:

When I check under Disk Management in Windows 7, it shows the SATA drive as unallocated, no volume and no drive letter.

I would like the SATA drive to be one large NTFS partition and the D:

I searched the web , but none of the suggested solutions I've tried have worked for me.

    How do I achieve this?

  • I moved the format and partition task for disk 1 further up the list to where it was immediately after the format and partition task for disk 0. Now it is working.

    Thanks for your help.

  • Do you have a format and partition step set up for this drive?

  • Thanks for the reply Jason.

Yes, I have a format and partition step for the SATA drive.

It seems like it's being ignored.

Hard to tell from the screen shot, but 'Disk Number' is set to 1

  • What does smsts.log say for the task?
